Parking

We want to be able to welcome as many supporters as possible to the regatta.
When you arrive, you will be directed to the spectator car parking areas.

Dorney Lake is a big place and it is advised you wear comfortable shoes for walking on grass and tarmac as you may have to walk some distance from your car to watch racing or meet your young rower.

We encourage all spectators to car pool, bring friends and family in as few cars as possible each day.

Parking for spectators is on the north side of Dorney Lake, giving access to view the races. All drivers must follow the instructions of marshals who will direct traffic to the appropriate parking facilities and all drivers must observe the posted speed limits and ensure that extreme care is taken in pedestrian areas.

Spectators must purchase a ticket to park for each day of the regatta that they are planning to attend. You are strongly advised to purchase your tickets in advance of your visit. Please use the red button below to make your purchase.

The sale of parking tickets is now open.

The regatta cannot be held liable for parking tickets issued to those who leave their vehicle on the public highway on the approach roads to the lake entrance.

Accessible parking

Parking for spectators who are Blue Badge holders is available at Dorney Lake but spaces are limited.

Please note that these parking spaces are at the 1000m mark and will be located some distance away from many of the schools’ marquees, so please bear this in mind when choosing to attend.

Due to the nature and size of the site, and access, it will not be possible to offer any other accessible spaces other than the official disabled parking area.

There is a metalled road surface along the lake side leading to the marquee area, so this would be suitable for wheelchairs. The car parking area may be situated on grassland and moving from there to the metalled surface may involve crossing a non-metalled surface to reach the lakeside.

Blue Badge holders who have considered the above and wish to book a disabled parking space should click on the link below and purchase a Blue Badge holder parking ticket.

The badge holder’s badge number and expiry date will be required on ticket purchase and the badge (not the clock display) must be visible at the check in on the dashboard as well as for the duration of their time on site.

Dropping off competitors

For those dropping off competitors on the south side of the lake on Drove Road it is possible to park there without charge (and subject to space) but it is important to note that to get to the spectator area on the north side of the lake and the school and club marquees, they will need to walk back down the road and round behind the Start Tower (approximately 2.5km) – there is no spectator access around the eastern (boathouse) end of the lake, which is strictly for competitors and coaches only.
