An unforgettable three days at Dorney Lake!
I want to thank everyone involved with making the 77th NSR the biggest and the most exciting on and off the water!
Each day brought racing drama and excitement as crews delivered superb performances in time trials and side by side races. I would like to thank every coach and parent behind the crews, after a difficult winter, with so much time off the water; the crews were very well prepared to manage in difficult conditions.
Close finishes came thick and fast on all three days, and we were delighted to see 61 different clubs and schools winning medals.
Trying to win is important, it is what makes competition fun, but I also want to commend every single competitor for their performances. To those who were here for the first time, to those for whom this was their last NSR: thank you for bringing the best version of yourself to the regatta – keep rowing and enjoying the excitement of competition.
