The range of age and ability offers racing to the very experienced to those who are only just beginning their rowing journey. NSR has continued, since its inception, to recognise the importance of offering racing experience to all levels of rowing competitor, not just the top athletes in the top boats.

Students from rowing clubs and schools train all year to enjoy the summer regatta season, and racing side by side at NSR is one of the rewards for the gruelling training during the winter months. The tension and excitement during the regatta shows how NSR has become the event to race at during the junior racing season. To win a NSR gold medal is a great achievement recognised across the rowing community.
