#NSRmemories What does NSR mean to you?

Matthew Pinsent who rowed at Eton College before Oxford University Boat Club and the British team shares his memories with us. Matthew won 10 world championship gold medals and four consecutive Olympic gold medals.

It’s very sad that NSR is not happening this year – only the very best memories of the regatta from my own school days. A centrepiece of the rowing calendar – part of the big three only some of which I managed to win in consecutive years! It was fantastically organised and popular back then and it’s great to see it’s gone from strength to strength in both regards since. Look forward to NSR 2021 when we can all see it again. Back safe where it should be.
