National Schools' Regatta announces Sport USA as Official Partner

May 5, 2026

The National Schools’ Regatta (NSR) is delighted to announce a three-year partnership with Sport USA, the UK’s leading US college sports scholarship specialists, beginning in May 2026.

Sport USA has spent over 15 years guiding student-athletes through the process of securing scholarships at prestigious universities and colleges across the NCAA, NAIA and JUCO programmes in the United States. As scholarship specialists the Sport USA team bring an unrivalled expertise and a genuine passion for developing young sporting talent. Their athlete management programme will personally guide each individual student athlete through a bespoke and personalised scholarship programme.

The partnership represents an alignment of values. NSR exists to give every junior rower in the UK the opportunity to race and develop, regardless of their level or background. Sport USA shares that ambition, helping student-athletes of all abilities find a programme that fits them and opening doors that might otherwise remain closed.

For the thousands of junior rowers who compete at NSR each May at Dorney Lake, this partnership offers something genuinely exciting: a direct connection to one of the most experienced scholarship placement teams in the world, and a clearer pathway to combining elite sport with a world-class university education in the United States.

NSR Chairman Mike Martin said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Sport USA as an official partner of the National Schools’ Regatta. The ambitions of our two organisations are aligned — we both believe in giving young athletes the best possible opportunity to fulfil their potential, and we both understand that sport can open doors that go far beyond the water’s edge. For the junior rowers who compete at NSR, this partnership opens up an exciting new horizon. The prospect of combining a world-class education in the United States with the opportunity to continue rowing at collegiate level is one that will inspire many of our athletes, and we look forward to working with Sport USA to make that a reality for as many young people as possible.”

Craig Stock at Sport USA, added: “The National Schools’ Regatta is exactly the kind of event that Sport USA was built to support. We see thousands of talented young rowers every year who have the ability, the discipline, and the drive to compete at the highest level, and many of them simply don’t know that a US college scholarship could be within their reach. Partnering with NSR gives us the opportunity to reach those athletes at exactly the right moment in their development, and we couldn’t be more excited about what the next three years will bring.”
