This year, the Regatta Shop celebrates its 30th Anniversary.
Our Regatta Shop, a humble marquee retail operation has ensured the financial security of the regatta for the past 30 years. In addition to which it has supported the NSR Charity mission to encourage and support junior rowing across the UK.
Regatta Shop Founder, Louise Hammond established the shop in 1989. Louise’s aim was simple: to ensure profits supported the event and junior rowing. Little did she know that her designs would inspire loyalty from customers and impact so positively on junior rowing.
Louise is responsible for the first T-Shirt with all competitor names on! With Design is ‘in-house’, the retail team are all volunteers and all profits from the shop go directly into junior rowing. All profits from the Regatta Shop go directly into the charitable aims of NSR and fund grants. The clubs and schools who have applied for funding support over the years have been able to purchase much needed equipment to enable more young people to join our sport.
